Jeffrey Horst Named One of Central PA's Forty under 40
August 2010: On Wednesday, October 20, 2010, Jeffrey N. Horst, CPA, will be honored as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2010 Forty Under 40 award recipients for his commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community at an evening reception and awards program at Hilton Harrisburg from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. This year marks the program’s 16th anniversary.
Jeff is a Partner in Reinsel Kuntz Lesher’s Tax Services Group. He has over 15 years of public accounting experience in the area of taxation. Prior to joining RKL in 2003, he worked with KPMG and Arthur Andersen where he provided a variety of tax compliance and consulting services to publicly-traded and privately-held businesses, including many companies in the financial services, manufacturing and wholesale distribution industries. Jeff is a graduate of Messiah College and holds a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Villanova University.
This year’s nominations for the Forty Under 40 program ended in late April. A panel of four judges, comprised of past award recipients, reviewed and scored the nominees to determine the top forty list. 2010 judges include Steve Buterbaugh, vice president of McConkey Insurance & Benefits; Tonya McGee, COO of BVFR & Associates LLC and president of Town & Country Day School; Brian Wassell, partner with Trout Ebersole Groff; and Deepa Mehta Balepur, principal and partner of The Wolman Group, RE/MAX Associates of Lancaster.
The awards event is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased online for $90 per person at www.centralpennbusiness.com/events.
Following the event, Jeff and the other award recipients will be featured in a special supplement to the October 30th edition of the Central Penn Business Journal. The list of winners will also appear in the 2011 Book of Lists publication.

Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP Announces Merger
July 2010: Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has merged with Philip R. Friedman and Associates LLP, a public accounting firm based in York, PA. The merger took effect on August 1, 2010 and results in a Reinsel Kuntz Lesher office location in York.
With this merger, Reinsel Kuntz Lesher has a team of approximately 215 employees, including 31 partners. The firm will maintain all employees and partners in both firms, and will continue to maintain all four offices in York, Lancaster, Reading and Harrisburg.
“This merger is strategically important as it will expand our geographic footprint.” said Andy Weidman, CEO of Reinsel Kuntz Lesher. “Also, by combining professional staff and resources, we can better serve the needs of our new and existing clients throughout the Central Pennsylvania region.”

April 2010: Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP is pleased to announce that Wendy M. Lakatosh, CPA, has joined our Lancaster office as a Principal in the Audit Services Group. Lakatosh, of Red Lion, York County, has extensive accounting and auditing experience serving clients in a wide variety of industries.
Lakatosh has over 13 years of experience in public accounting with an international public accounting firm. She has experience serving both public and private companies with SEC, accounting and financial reporting matters.
Lakatosh holds a Bachelor s degree in Accounting from Shippensburg University. She is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institute s of Certified Public Accountants.

Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP Promotes Wendy L. Lance, CPA, MST, to Principal
January 2010: Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP is pleased to announce that Wendy L. Lance, CPA, MST, has been promoted from Manager to Principal in the Tax Services Group. In her new position, she will be responsible for providing and managing tax planning and compliance services for corporations, partnerships and individuals. She will also be responsible for coordinating all additional services for her clients.
Lance holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Richmond and a Masters degree in Taxation from Villanova University. She specializes in corporate and pass-through entity tax planning and compliance, multi-state taxation and accounting for income taxes.
Lance is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. She is also a graduate of the 2009 Leadership Lancaster Class.

Bethany Novis Named one of Central PA’s Forty Under 40
August 2009: Reinsel Kuntz Lesher is pleased to announce that Bethany A. Novis, CPA/ABV, CVA, CFE, will be honored as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2009 Forty Under 40 award recipients for her commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community at an evening reception and awards program at Hilton Harrisburg on October 23, 2009. This year marks the program’s 15th anniversary.
Bethany is currently a Partner in the firm’s Business Consulting Services Group. She specializes in areas of financial litigation, including; employee theft and fiscal mismanagement, quantification of lost wages and damages, business disruption, marital support and property settlement, dissenting shareholder.
Bethany is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Lancaster County.

Zechman has over 19 years of experience in public accounting. He spent 13 years with an international public accounting firm, including 5 years as a partner. Zechman has experience serving both public and private companies. He also has extensive experience with private and public security offerings.
Zechman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bloomsburg University. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institute’s of Certified Public Accountants. He is an alumnus of the Leadership Lancaster Executive Orientation Series and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Reinsel Kuntz Lesher Names Francis J. Donnelly, CPA, Partner in the Audit Services Group
January 2009: Francis J. Donnelly, CPA, has been named Partner in the Audit Services Group in Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP's Reading Office.
Frank specializes in accounting and consulting services for the firm’s credit union and employee benefit plan industry niches. As Partner, Frank will be responsible for the overall coordination and delivery of all firm services to his clients. He has the ultimate decision-making authority to ensure a prompt response to audit, tax and business issues. He will be responsible for engagement planning, review and supervision for existing clients, as well as acquiring and developing new client relationships.
Frank holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from La Salle University. He joined the firm in 1999, bringing over nine years of public accounting experience in serving both employee benefit plans and corporations.
Frank is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He is certified as a public accountant in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

Reinsel Kuntz Lesher Announces Principal Promotions
January 2009: Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP is pleased to announce that Ronald C. Fink, Jr., CPA, Michelle S. Gibbons, CPA, Clifford R. Horst, and Laurie M. Peer, CPA, CFP®, have been promoted to Principal within the firm.
Ron has been promoted from Manager to Principal in the Business Consulting Services Group. In his new position, he will be responsible for services including business financing, equity placement, budgeting, profit planning and cost accounting, and business mergers and acquisitions. His industry experience includes manufacturing, transportation, real estate, hospitality, retail and professional service companies.
Michelle has been promoted from Director to Principal in the Small Business Services Group. In her new position, she will responsible for providing and managing compilation, review and tax services for small businesses. Michelle has experience in various industries including service, manufacturing and retail. She specializes in real estate developers.
Cliff has been promoted from Manager to Principal in the Information Technology Consulting Group. In his new position, he will be responsible for applications consulting and managing packaged software installation and support, as well as coordinating all additional services for his clients. Horst has worked extensively with Microsoft SQL Server and Crystal Reports from Business Objects. He is certified in most of the modules for MAS500, an ERP system from Sage Software.
Laurie has been promoted from Manager to Principal in the Tax Services Group. In her new position she will be responsible for engagement planning, review and supervision for existing clients, as well as acquiring and developing new client relationships. Her areas of specialization include individual tax planning and compliance.
