April 2008 : Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP is pleased to announce that Sarah Young Fisher, President of Kuntz Lesher Capital LLC, was recently named one of the 13th Annual Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business.

The Best 50 Women in Business awards program recognizes the state’s most dynamic and distinguished women in business today. It serves to highlight their contributions to business and the community and salutes their ability to overcome obstacles in non-traditional work environments.

Eric R. Wenger Named Partner of Tax Services Group
January 2008: We are pleased to announce that Eric R. Wenger, CPA, MST, Lititz, has been named a Tax Partner in the Lancaster office effective January 1, 2008.

Eric specializes in strategic tax planning and compliance for corporations, partnerships and individuals. He works extensively with the firm’s tax outsourcing clients, dealing with issues surrounding consolidated tax returns, multi-state taxation and accounting for income taxes. Eric also is active in the firm’s recruiting initiatives.

Eric joined the firm in 2002. He regularly presents seminars on various tax-related topics, and has volunteered to teach with World Vision in Ghana, Africa and with Educational Services International in China. 

Eric is a graduate of Messiah College and holds a Masters Degree in Taxation from Villanova University. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a contributing columnist on various tax topics for Business2Business magazine and has taught as an adjunct instructor of taxation at Elizabethtown College.

CEO Recognized
June 2007: J. Andrew Weidman, CEO of Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP, was recently presented with the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Joseph E. Sterrett Award. The award was presented by Charles M. Fabian, CPA, and Edward W. Monborne, CPA, Managing Partners of Reinsel Kuntz Lesher’s Reading and Lancaster offices, during the Annual PICPA Dinner on June 28 in State College, PA.

The Trustees of the PICPA Scholarship Fund created the honorary award in recognition of Joseph E. Sterrett, founder of the PICPA. Individuals that are recognized as Joseph E. Sterrett Award winners have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the CPA profession and the PICPA. 

Weidman recently ended his term as President of the PICPA. He is a member of PICPA's Strategic Advisory Board and AICPA’s Council as well as past president of the Reading Chapter and past chair of the Governance and Strategic Direction Task Force, Annual Meeting Committee, and Leadership Conference Planning Committee.

Paula Barrett Recognized as one of PA's Best 50 Women in Business
April 2007: Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP is pleased to announce that Paula K. Barrett, Partner, was recently named as one of the winners of the 12th Annual Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business award.

An independent panel of judges selected the top 50 candidates based on dedication to business growth, professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy for women in business.

Paula is a partner in the firm's Business Consulting Services Group. She is a board member of the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce & Industry as well as both a board member and Vice President, Executive Committee Member, of the Great Valley Girl Scouts Council. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the University of Scranton.

April 2007: Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP has been recognized by Accounting Today magazine as a "Firm to Watch." Accounting Today publishes an annual list of the top 100 U.S. accounting firms based on revenue. Reinsel Kuntz Lesher barely missed the top 100 list, but based on revenue and strong growth was ranked 7th on the “Firm to Watch” list for 2007.

Andy Weidman Recognized as Most Influential Accounting Practitioner
April 2007: J. Andrew Weidman, Chairman/CEO of Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP, was recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Practitioners in the March 2007 issue of CPA Magazine.

Andy is responsible for overall client relations and developing the firm's strategic planning efforts. He specializes in closely held entities, the real estate industry, international tax planning, and tax planning for mergers and acquisitions and sales of businesses.

Andy currently serves as President of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and is a member of PICPA's Strategic Advisory Board. He is also an elected member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Council.

Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP and Miller & Miller CPAs announce merger
November 1, 2006: Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP, one of the largest regional accounting, tax, and consulting firms in Pennsylvania with three offices located in Lancaster, Reading, and Harrisburg, has recently announced a merger with Miller & Miller CPAs, a public accounting firm based in Lititz, PA. The merger is expected to take effect on November 1, 2006.

"This merger is strategically important as it will help us to strengthen our base of industry knowledge expertise," Andrew Weidman, CEO of Reinsel Kuntz Lesher. "By combining professional staffing resources and client bases, we can better serve the expanding needs of our regional clients."

With this merger, Reinsel Kuntz Lesher will have a team of approximately 200 employees, including 30 partners. The firm will maintain all staff in both firms, and will continue to maintain offices in Lancaster, Reading, and Harrisburg.

Ronald L. Miller, CPA/PFS CFP will join the Lancaster office as a Partner in Reinsel Kuntz Lesher's Business Services Group. Ron brings comprehensive experience evaluating business performance, developing strategic growth initiatives, planning financing and tax strategies, and structuring intergenerational wealth transfer. He specializes in advising individually and family owned businesses, and has particular expertise in managing tax deferred exchanges. He applies his skills in wealth management to benefit individuals and entrepreneurs in coordination with business development and succession. Ron holds a bachelor's degree in Economics with an accounting concentration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and a master's degree in Accounting from the Wharton Graduate School. He also holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.

Jared E. Miller, CPA, MT will join the Lancaster office as a Partner in Reinsel Kuntz Lesher's Tax Services Group. He specializes in multi-state income and franchise tax, financial and estate planning, designing executive compensation and retirement plans, business start-up issues, and strategic tax consulting, with particular focus on closely held businesses. Jared holds a bachelor's degree in Economics with an accounting and finance concentration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business in 1995. In 2001, he received a master's degree in Taxation from Villanova University.
