With the new year upon us, RKL is here to help you plan for 2015 with our Payroll Information Guide and meet your 1099 reporting requirements for 2014.
Our Payroll Update includes a variety of information as it relates to withholding, contribution, deferral limits and other related items. A few new items to note are:
- There will be additional federal unemployment tax due for various credit reduction states, which does not include Pennsylvania for 2014. There will be additional federal unemployment tax because of credit reduction to the following states or territories: CA, CT, IN, KY, NY, NC, OH, VI. This added tax is reported on the 2014 Form 940.
- Employers are required to report the cost of employer provided health insurance on employees W-2’s for 2014, if 250 or more W-2’s were filed for 2013. This reporting is informational only and does not impact the normal taxation rules for employer provided health insurance.
