YORK, PA (December 7, 2017) – RKL LLP today announced that D. Hunter Mink, CPA, CCIFP®, will be admitted to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2018.

“Hunter’s admittance to the RKL partnership is a testament to the strategic guidance he provides to clients, the role he’s played in the firm’s continued success and the positive impact he makes on our community,” said Edward W. Monborne, RKL CEO.

Currently a manager in RKL’s Audit Services Group, Mink plans and oversees audit engagements for a cross-section of the firm’s client base. He specializes in serving the consulting and assurance needs of many architecture and engineering firms throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Mink is also a key member of RKL’s Real Estate Development & Construction Industry Group, and he bolstered his industry expertise and relevance by achieving the elite Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP®) designation in 2015.

Since joining RKL in 2012, Mink has played a key role in the firm’s professional development, quality control and continuing education standards as a member of the firm’s Audit & Accounting Committee.

Mink is an active member and leader of several civic, community benefit and professional development organizations. Earlier this year, he was installed as Treasurer of the South Central Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and was named Vice President of the York East Rotary Club. Mink also serves as Board Member and Treasurer for the Farm & Natural Lands Trust of York County and sits on the Annual Campaign Cabinet for the United Way of York County.

Mink received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from York College of Pennsylvania. A licensed Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania since 2007, he is a member of both the PICPA and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A lifelong York County resident, Mink lives in York with his wife and their twin daughters.

Gantz, CPA, Tax Services Group, promoted to Manager: Gantz delivers tax planning and compliance services to corporations, pass-through entities and individuals, with a specialized focus on pass-through entity taxation and multi-state compliance. Since joining RKL in 2012, Gantz has worked with clients in a variety of industries including construction, real estate, manufacturing and distribution. He is also active in the firm’s various training initiatives. Gantz is a board member and serves as Treasurer for Keystone Kidspace, and is a graduate of the Leadership York program. He received his B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from York College of Pennsylvania. Gantz resides in Spring Grove with his wife and two daughters.

Kane belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and holds several leadership roles within the Reading Chapter and state level of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), including Executive Committee Member, President-Elect, Emerging CPAs Committee Co-Chair and State Council Member. She is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Berks at Alvernia University program, and was class president. Currently Kane sits on the board, finance and governance committees of Berks Connections Pretrial Services. Kane earned her B.S. in Accounting from York College, and resides in Douglassville with her husband and son.

He sits on the boards of the Tri Valley YMCA and the Wyomissing Football Association, and belongs to the Greater Reading Young Professionals and the Financial Planning Association. Rineer serves as Treasurer for CASA of Lancaster County, and she resides in Columbia with her husband and daughter.

RKL’s Godfrey and Mink Honored as PICPA Young Leaders

The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) has named RKL’s Kelly M. Godfrey, CPA, and D. Hunter Mink, CPA, CCIFP®, among its 2017 Young Leaders, in recognition of their positive impact on the accounting profession and their communities.

Godfrey and Mink, along with their fellow Young Leader Award recipients, were honored at the PICPA Leadership Conference, held on September 18, 2017, in Harrisburg.

A manager in RKL’s Audit Services Group, Godfrey serves the accounting and assurance needs of clients in the not-for-profit and public sectors. In addition to her public accounting experience, she also has seven years of commercial operations management experience. Godfrey holds a B.S. in Sociology/Criminal Justice from Bloomsburg University and a B.S. in Accounting from Lebanon Valley College.

Godfrey is an active PICPA member, serving on the Reading Chapter’s Emerging CPAs Committee, as well as the Local Government Accounting and Auditing, Not-for-Profit and Ethics committees. She also serves as a loaned accountant for the United Way of Berks County Annual Campaign and volunteers as a tutor for the organization’s Ready.Set.Read! program. Godfrey lives in Lebanon with her husband and three daughters.

In his role as Audit Services Group manager, Mink plans and supervises engagements for clients in a variety of industries. He primarily focuses on serving the consulting and assurance needs of the architecture/engineering (A/E) sector and the construction industry. He expanded his relevance and expertise in this sector by earning the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP®) designation in 2015. She has extensive experience providing tax services for closely held businesses and their owners. Lance joined RKL in 2005 and was named to the partnership in 2012, in recognition of her client service excellence and contributions to firm growth.

Lance is an engaged member of her community, serving as President and Board member of the Lititz-based Five Star Swim Club, Treasurer of the Warwick High School swim team parent’s organization and member of the Lititz Rec Center’s Aquatics Committee. Her previous community involvement includes leadership and key roles with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster County, the United Way of Lancaster County Finance Committee and the Lititz Library.

Lance received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Richmond and her M.S. in Taxation from Villanova University. She lives in Lititz with her husband, Jay, and their four children, Jack, Anna, Oliver and Theo.

RKL Senior Living Services Manager Named to “Forty Under 40” List

For more than a decade, Spencer has helped clients achieve sustainable success in an ever-changing regulatory environment. He has provided a variety of accounting and consulting services to clients throughout RKL’s geographic footprint, but in recent years has specialized his focus as a Manager in the firm’s Senior Living Services Consulting Group. Spencer’s commitment to remaining on the cutting edge of industry issues led him to form RKL’s Data Analysis Working Group in response to the increasingly important role of data analysis in medical care quality monitoring and reimbursement.

Spencer is a 2013 graduate of the Leadership Berks program at Alvernia University, where he spearheaded a project with Reading Film, a nonprofit that works to attract filmmakers to Berks County. He currently serves as Board Treasurer, chair of the Finance Committee and member of the Governance Committee for the Berks Community Health Center.

Spencer received his B.S. in Finance from Northern Arizona University and his MSA/MBA from Northeastern University in Boston. He lives in Wyomissing with his wife and two young children.

The “Forty Under 40” awards program celebrates the Greater Lehigh Valley’s most accomplished young businessmen and women. Spencer will be celebrated along with his fellow honorees at a ceremony scheduled for June 13 at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.

  • Steven Frank, CPA/ABV, Consulting Services Group, promoted to Manager: Steve provides business valuation, litigation support services, financial analysis and special projects including cash flow modeling and assistance with acquisitions and sales of closely-held businesses. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting from York College of Pennsylvania. Steve lives in Muhlenberg Township.

  • Joshua Weiss, CPA, Tax Services Group, promoted to Manager: Josh specializes in planning and compliance for corporations, partnerships and individuals, as well as services for multi-state taxation and consolidated returns. He holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Kutztown University. Josh lives in Muhlenberg Township with his wife and sons.

  • Daniel Nickischer, CPA, Small Business Services Group: Dan comes to RKL with 10 years of public accounting experience and four years of private sector experience. He provides compilation, review and tax services to small businesses in various industries. Dan received his B.S. in Accounting from West Chester University and also holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Pittsburgh. He resides in Amity Township with his wife and daughter.

  • Josie Parr, CPA, Tax Services Group, promoted to Manager: Josie specializes in providing tax planning and compliance solutions for businesses and individuals, including issues surrounding multi‐state taxation. She has considerable experience serving clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, food processing, advertising and construction. Josie received her B.S. in Accounting from York College of Pennsylvania and is on track to receive her M.S. in Taxation from Villanova University next year. She resides in York with her husband and two children.
  • Erika Schachle, CPA, Audit Services Group, promoted to Manager: Erika serves the auditing and accounting needs for a wide range of not-for-profit organizations, including financial reporting and GAAP audits. Erika received her B.S. in Accounting from West Chester University and resides in Spring Grove.

  • Ann Marie Davis, CPA, Tax Services Group, promoted to Manager: Ann Marie specializes in individual taxation, with a focus on managing all aspects of tax planning and compliance for high net worth individuals. Ann Marie has significant experience resolving federal and state tax controversies and compliance issues. She holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Villanova University and a Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law. Ann Marie resides in Manheim Township with her husband and three daughters. 
  • Lisa Enders, CPA, Tax Services Group, promoted to Manager: Lisa is responsible for providing tax planning and compliance services to corporations, pass-through entities, and individuals. She specializes in pass-through entity and multi-state compliance, cost segregation studies, and is a member of RKL’s Tangible Asset Regulation team. Lisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Messiah College with a B.S. in Accounting and resides in Lititz with her husband.
  • Andrew Rice, CPA, Audit Services Group, promoted to Manager: Andrew serves the accounting and auditing needs of family-owned businesses as wells as large, middle-market companies in the manufacturing and distribution, real estate and hospitality industries. He also has significant experience in auditing employee benefit plans. Andrew received his B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University, and he lives in Lancaster with his wife.

Myers prioritizes leadership development as part of his career growth, graduating from the Leadership York program in 2011 and participating in the inaugural class of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs Next Generation Leadership program in 2014.
