Training At RKL, we know that you want challenging work and the opportunity to reach your career potential. We support your professional development right from the start with our orientation program. As a new team member, you will be assigned a “buddy” to help you through those first few months with the firm. After you have worked with us for a while, you will be given the opportunity to enter into a mentoring relationship with a fellow team member of your choice. Following orientation, we continue to provide you with formal training. RKL makes a large investment each year in training our staff using the RSM McGladrey education model and courses. Our approach to training is extensive and varied, and includes: • “On the Job” training • Self-Study courses • Instructor-led classes (often held onsite in our state of the art training facility) • WebCasts • External seminars and classes sponsored by RSM McGladrey, PICPA, AICPA Additionally, we are proud to offer RKL University, a series of courses held in-house, covering topics in Leadership, Management, Communication and Technology. RKLU courses are typically offered during the spring through fall each year and are an excellent way to continue expanding the skills that will help you succeed in your career. For our CPA Candidates, we have a program that offers discounts on CPA Review Courses through RSM McGladrey. Reinsel Kuntz Lesher will cover CPA Review Course expenses, and will pay for the CPA Exam. We also give you time off with pay to study for and take the CPA Exam, and you are eligible for a cash bonus when you pass the Exam. We also offer a program that reimburses qualified team members for the cost of obtaining a Masters Degree in Taxation. As you continue through your career, we offer opportunities to focus on specific industries or services. You will have the ability to concentrate your training efforts in these industries so that you are better prepared to work with your clients and learn about what is important to them.
