Building a financial legacy involves hard work and dedication, and so does maintaining the long-term success and sustainability of that legacy. For more than two decades, Amy Heim has developed and implemented sophisticated tax strategies and comprehensive plans to maximize the benefit of estates and trusts and protect the best interests of her clients and their families.
As leader of RKL’s Estates and Trust Tax Practice, Amy oversees the firm’s estate, gift and trust tax services. She also has deep expertise in individual taxation. Legacy planning can be a complex and emotional subject, but Amy’s honest and open communication style and attention to detail earns the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues alike.
Amy’s specialized tax expertise is a critical component of RKL’s multi-disciplinary approach to estate, gift and trust planning. She works closely with RKL advisors in the areas of wealth management, succession planning, business valuation and more to devise a customized plan to meet the client’s unique goals and objectives. She is actively involved with the regional estate planning community, as member of the Berks Estate Planning Council and the Baltimore Estate Planning Council and as a board member for the Lancaster Estate Planning Council.
“I consider myself a partner to clients along their estate planning journey, making complicated concepts understandable and pinpointing ways to maximize their legacies.”
Amy lives in York with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending her time volunteering in her children’s schools and activities.
