WYOMISSING, PA (November 26, 2018) – RKL LLP is pleased to announce that Ryan P. Hurst, ASA, was recently honored as one of Berks County’s young leaders as part of the Reading Eagle’s inaugural “Forty Under 40” award program. The ceremony, which took place November 13 at Goggleworks in Reading, celebrated the professional achievements, leadership qualities and community engagement of Hurst and his fellow honorees.

An in-demand consultant and strategic advisor to clients across a wide range of industries, Hurst brought deep experience in valuation, investment banking and transaction advisory support when he joined RKL in 2017. In his current role as Manager with RKL’s Business Consulting Services Group, Hurst advises clients on buying and selling businesses, assists them in developing their ownership succession plans and evaluating their strategic alternatives. He specializes in conducting business valuations for buy-sell, gift and estate, employee stock ownership plans (ESOP) and litigation support purposes.
Hurst serves as Board Member and Secretary for the Berks County Estate Planning Council and is actively involved with the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisitions Advisors. Hurst belongs to the ESOP Association, the Greater Reading Young Professionals and the GFN Philly professional networking organization. He also sits on the Board and serves as Treasurer for the Reading Symphony Orchestra.
Hurst holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) credential from the American Society of Appraisers and earned his B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from Shippensburg University. He resides in Reading.
