RKL Partner Wendy Lance was named a 2022 Women to Watch award recipient by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Lance and her fellow honorees were celebrated at PICPA’s 2022 Women’s Leadership Conference, held virtually and in person on June 23.
An experienced certified public accountant and business advisor, Lance delivers strategic planning and compliance services to corporations, partnerships, closely held businesses and their owners. As Partner and leader of the Tax Services Group at RKL, Lance develops strategy and manages growth tax workforce and capabilities for the largest CPA firm based in Central and Eastern Pennsylvania.
Lance’s career in public accounting is fueled by both her specialized expertise and her commitment to building a strong rapport and lines of communication with her clients. Her proactive approach to service engenders trust between Lance and the business owners and financial executives she serves. Listening to and learning from her clients means she can quickly identify additional resources within the firm to address new pain points or seize an emerging opportunity to maximize profitability.
Mentoring is one of Lance’s passions. She credits her own mentors for providing critical career guidance and personal support throughout her career, and she pays that forward today as a visible role model and trusted resource for younger team members at RKL.
Lance’s leadership extends beyond the workplace, as she is heavily involved in her local community of Lititz, PA. Since 2018, she has served on the board of the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County.
