LANCASTER, PA (May 20, 2021) – RKL LLP today announced that Kathy Gutierrez, MSHRD, CPLP, PHR, SHRM-CP, the firm’s Director of Human Resources, has been selected by the Central Penn Business Journal as a 2021 Women of Influence honoree.
“Kathy’s focus on building strong connections and lifting up those around her positively influences our firm and community,” said RKL CEO Edward W. Monborne. “It is especially gratifying to see Kathy celebrated at a time when connections are more important than ever. Kathy has been a rock and a resource throughout the tumult of the pandemic, and she is focused on creating deep, sustainable change as head of our firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts.”
As Director of Human Resources at RKL, Kathy develops and implements strategies to maximize the firm’s human capital and sustain the people power to accomplish its objectives. She oversees all facets of RKL’s HR function, including recruiting, training, professional development, policies and procedures, compensation and benefits and performance management. Gutierrez previously served as the firm’s Learning & Development Manager. Prior to pursuing a career in human resources, she worked in accounting and banking.
Kathy prioritizes community engagement opportunities to empower and advocate for women and children. She has previously served on the boards of the Women’s Business Center of Lancaster and the League of Women Voters of Lancaster County. Currently, she sits on the Board and Development Committee for CASA of Lancaster County.
Gutierrez holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Millersville University and an M.S. Human Resources Development from Villanova University. She lives in Millersville with her husband.
The annual Women of Influence awards celebrates the accomplishments of Central Pennsylvania’s highest-achieving female leaders, based on their professional experience, community involvement, leadership and sustained commitment to mentoring.
