Our state and local tax expert will deliver timely updates related to Pennsylvania tax developments, highlighting information related to corporate net income tax, credits and incentives. The session will also provide guidance related to South Dakota vs. Wayfair Inc. and its impact on PA businesses and individuals. In addition, our Research and Development (R&D) Credit expert will cover the fundamentals of the R&D Tax Credit, including the history and recent developments of the credit as well as project qualifications, benefit calculations and common issues. Attendees will be properly informed of recent state developments in order to maintain compliance in PA. In addition, attendees will be able to recognize how to identify qualifying R&D projects, understand how to calculate the credit and consider all relevant issues to maximize the benefit. 3:10 – 4 p.m. – Accounting Standards Update

Through this overview of recently issued and currently proposed standards, attendees will be able to identify and apply these new and pending accounting updates in their organizations, including the new revenue recognition standard that replaced GAAP with a principle-based approach to determining revenue recognition. 4 – 5:30 p.m. – Cocktail Reception
After a full day of CPE, it’s time to unwind from absorbing all that new information as well as catch up with old and new friends and colleagues from organizations throughout Central and Eastern PA. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
