RKL team members generously and enthusiastically make their mark on our communities in a variety of ways, but over the last school year, our contributions to Junior Achievement of South Central PA (JASCPA) educational programs have made a significant impact on local students.
From economic fundamentals to career exploration, JASCPA programs help prepare young people for life beyond the classroom. Many local schools rely on JASCPA on-site educational sessions like YES!, STEM Summit and REAL Life to supplement existing financial literacy curriculum offerings.
To keep pace with this growing demand for programs, JASCPA requires significant involvement of local professional volunteers. RKL answered the call during the 2016-17 school year, with 76 team members lending their time and expertise to facilitate JASCPA programs at schools throughout the region – a nearly threefold increase in volunteerism over the prior year.
As accountants, business strategists and entrepreneurs, the education and career experiences of RKL team members uniquely position us to contribute to the financial literacy and economics education of young people in our area. We commend our colleagues who connected with and inspired local students this year and look forward to continued engagement with students through JASCPA programs.
