When Ed Monborne became CEO of RKL in 2011, he took the helm of a successful regional accounting firm. In the years that followed, Ed charted a course of growth and innovation that cemented RKL among the nation’s leading and most respected professional services firms.
Ed’s focus on expanding relevance for RKL starts with an instinct for emerging demand among the firm’s clients. Recognizing how significantly technology and data alter the industry and the delivery of key services, he paved the way for RKL to play a bigger role in business strategy through the development of cutting-edge capabilities not typically associated with traditional CPA firms.
Ed’s commitment to client service is grounded in RKL’s mission and values, and is proven over three decades in public accounting. With first-hand experience serving individual and commercial clients across a wide range of industries, Ed knows the best way to earn the trust and loyalty of clients is by continually exceeding their expectations.
Ed served as RKL’s CEO for 15 years, developing, managing and implementing RKL’s strategic directives. He transitioned out of the role in September 2026 and will retire in December 2026.
“Thanks to the trust we’ve earned with our clients, we’re proud that RKL is often the first place they turn to when dealing with business challenges.”
