Having spent nearly two decades in public accounting, Kimberly Karwath carved out her path in the financial services industry. As a Partner in the Audit Services Group, she primarily serves financial institutions and specialty finance companies, offering an array of services that include traditional assurance, tax and compliance.
While initially drawn to studying marketing, Kimberly discovered a passion for accounting in college. As the daughter of a CPA, her early interactions with the accounting profession set a foundation for her career.
Kimberly’s specialization in financial institutions and specialty finance entities has afforded her the opportunity to work with organizations of all sizes, ranging from ambitious start-ups to formidable multi-billion-dollar entities. She is knowledgeable in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. This breadth of experience and knowledge has shaped her ability to offer tailored, strategic advice to each client.
Kimberly believes in the importance of cultivating strong connections with her clients, and strives to gain their trust and become their “go to” trusted advisor. She is also passionate about being a trusted advisor to her younger colleagues, sharing her insights and experiences to support their career growth. Her attitude toward relationship building is a reflection of her commitment to being more than just an auditor, but a true partner to those she serves.
Personal
Kimberly lives in Kennett Square, PA, with her husband, Chris, and three daughters, Cameran, Hadlee and Amelia. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and spending weekends at her family’s beach house in Rehoboth, DE.
