RKL is pleased to announce that Jill E. Gilbert, CPA, CGMA, and Barry M. Pelagatti, CPA, both partners in the firm’s Audit Services Group, will serve in leadership roles for the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Gilbert and Pelagatti were elected by their fellow CPAs during PICPA’s recent 122nd Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA.
A member of the PICPA Board since 2017, Gilbert was elected to serve as President-Elect for the 2019-2020 term. In this role, she will set the organization’s goals for the upcoming year and help raise awareness of PICPA programs and services. Gilbert served as Vice President of the Board during the 2017-2018 term. She is also currently a member of PICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan Committee, the Local Government Accounting and Auditing Committee and the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Education and Research.
Pelagatti will serve as a member of PICPA’s Professional Ethics Committee through 2022, where he will help uphold the PICPA code of conduct, investigate complaints and facilitate opportunities for continuing ethics education. Pelagatti recently concluded his chairmanship of PICPA’s Financial Institutions Committee.
