More than 70 nonprofit executives gathered on May 31, 2018, at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey to build a foundation for growth at RKL’s 2nd annual Capital Region Not-for-Profit Forum. This educational event showcased the depth of expertise that the firm brings to this industry and encouraged significant interaction through a dynamic exchange of ideas during a lunchtime peer discussion.
The event featured both RKL professionals and guest speakers on topics including an industry specific recap of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, an introduction to organizational agility packed with productivity-boosting and cost-lowering best practices and a legal update on the importance of understanding fiduciary duty and avoiding conflicts of interest.
RKL’s Not-for-Profit Forum concluded with an institutional asset management overview which highlighted the importance of prioritizing process over outcomes and recognizing and avoiding common investment pitfalls. Attendees walked away with a fresh perspective on succeeding in a changing nonprofit landscape.
