Kessler has joined a select group of health care and information security professionals equipped to help organizations manage Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. Kessler, a Partner in RKL’s Senior Living Services Consulting Group, recently earned the Certified HIPAA Professional (CHP) designation.
RKL helps providers across the nation evaluate, implement and manage HIPAA programs as part of the firm’s full suite of operational, financial, clinical and reimbursement services for the senior living industry. The CHP credential expands Kessler’s expertise in the areas of HIPAA and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) compliance through an intensive instructor-led and online educational training program.
With more than two decades of experience as a nurse, healthcare educator and consultant, Kessler specializes in post-acute care operations, strategic planning, regulatory and billing compliance, third-party reimbursement, continuing education, quality improvement, survey assistance and electronic health record implementation.
Kessler is a board member and the chair-elect for the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing and serves on boards and volunteers for several community organizations.
