Lancaster, PA (January 26, 2023) – RKL LLP today expressed its sorrow at the loss of firm Partner and Chief Business Development Officer Scott J. Kimmel, who passed away earlier this week at the age of 57.
“Our hearts are broken at the loss of our colleague and friend Scott Kimmel. He has been such an integral part of our firm’s success story for more than a decade and it is hard to imagine life at RKL without him,” said RKL CEO Ed Monborne.
“Scott was excellent at his job because he cared about people and building real connections. He knew that selecting an accounting and advisory firm is a big move for most organizations, and that we earned new business when we earned their trust and confidence.
“Scott applied that same care and focus to the RKL team, helping our team grow as professionals and problem solvers. He embodied our firm values (bold, caring and collaborative) and truly lived our mission of enriching our clients, team and community. Scott made a big impact on his hometown community, through decades of service on the Lampeter-Strasburg School Board and various leadership roles in West Lampeter Township.
“But Scott was happiest when he was with his family, watching his three daughters play sports or heading out on a family camping trip.
“On behalf of the entire RKL team, we extend our deepest condolences to all those who knew and loved Scott. Things won’t be the same without him, but we will carry on his legacy of building meaningful relationships, uncovering new opportunities and serving others.”
